ACCESSIBLE SAILING
Since 1999, Ontario Sailing has supported accessible sailing in the province through direct programming and by supporting the development of programs at our member clubs. Individuals with a variety of abilities have experienced the fun, independence and feeling of freedom that sailing has to offer. There are a number of clubs and schools in Ontario that utilize specially designed boats and equipment to provide sailing opportunities for individuals with a wide range of abilities. All the accessible sailing programs in Ontario are unique so it is best to connect with a club or school in your area to find a program that is right for you.
ACCESS BOOM
For over 20 years, the Access BOOM program has provided opportunities for individuals with disabilities to experience the joy of sailing. In partnership with member clubs, schools and community organizations, Access BOOM has brought accessible sailing to communities across Ontario. For more information on Access BOOM contact Ontario Sailing’s Executive Director.
