COAST is a unique program designed to support all our member organizations in areas around governance and operations. We created the COAST program in partnership with Row Ontario. Through COAST, Ontario Sailing dedicates resources to help our community-based clubs and schools ensure they have support around the business side of running a club.
Some examples of how our team assists our member organizations include:
- Reviewing by-laws and other governance documents
- Sharing updates and resources for changing legal requirements and best practices
- Support with grant applications
- Human Resource management support – from recruiting to hiring to challenges
- Facility & Safety resources
- Strategic Planning
- Membership Package reviews
- Online COAST Resource hub. (Each organization has account).
And lots more – ask and see!

Navigating Governance Webinar Series
Ontario Sailing and Row Ontario are proud to partner with sport consultant Stephanie Geosits, owner of All About Sports, for the second iteration of the Navigating Governance Series—a virtual education webinar series designed to empower and support rowing and sailing clubs’ governance and operations.
This series will explore key topics in sport governance, offering practical tools and expert insights to help clubs and associations strengthen their leadership, improve organizational effectiveness, and make informed decisions. The webinars are open for all club leaders to attend; however, the target audience for these webinars is current Commodores/Presidents, General Managers, Hiring Managers, and Financial Contacts.
