It is with regret that I announce that our High Performance Coach, Murray McCullough will be moving on from Ontario Sailing.
Murray has been in his position for five years and has become known for his dedication, drive and commitment as a coach the athletes of Ontario Sailing. Currently working with the Laser Full Rig Team, Murray has helped to graduate many Ontario Sailors to the National Team. As a constant mentor for younger coaches, Murray worked very closely with Sail Canada and the other Provinces to build a stronger single-handed program in Ontario.
Murray has taken a role as the High Performance Coordinator at Wheel Chair Basketball. With the significant requirement of travel in his current role, Murray will be able to spend more time with his young family.
Ontario Sailing working in harmony with our Athlete Development Committee will be actively working on a new hire. We are thrilled to announce, that, while Murray is leaving his fulltime role with us, he will take over the Chairs role of the ADC and be available for contract coaching. Those interested in applying will see the posting in the next few weeks.
Please join me in wishing Murray and his family all the best in his new role. And we look forward to welcoming him back on the water as many times as we possibly can.
Glenn Lethbridge, Executive Director, Ontario Sailing
