This year the Ontario Summer Games takes place in London with the sailing activities taking place in Port Stanley at the Port Stanley Sailing Club. Sailing at the Ontario Summer Games will take place August 1-3, 2024 (training and setup Aug 1, Racing Aug 2-3). To learn more about the Games and specifically the sailing event please see their website – https://www.london2024.ca/en/sports/sailing.

These Games are great events to participate as an athlete and a coach and are an introduction into multisport Games events. Athletes stay as a team and the Games experience includes high level coaching from our Provincial Coaching Team.

(Please note sailors competing at CORK and Sail Canada Youth Championships can still compete in these Games as the Sailing event finishes on August 3rd.)

Food, accommodations, transportation to and from the residence and the Club are included in the event registration. Athletes (or their clubs) need to supply their boats.

There is an opportunity for a limited number of coaches from Clubs to join the coaching staff and be part of a mentorship program building on their own skills as a coach. If you are interested, please email cam@ontariosailing.ca.

The Games have a limited registration. Ontario Sailing will host a qualifier (details below) to select the following:

  • 10 ILCA 6 Female athletes
  • 10 ILCA 6 Male athletes
  • 20 C420 Athletes (10 Male, 10 Female)
    • The C420 class is Open, so teams can be comprised of any Gender.
